Time travel ending

In a comment to my post on the most recent episode, “Blood on the Scales,” Stephan wrote:

Aha... a scar at the FTL drive. FTL uses a distortion in the space/time fabric to jump faster than light. What if due to a fault, they don't jump in space but in TIME. That would make a lot plausible, but on the other hand... less mystical.

Yes, that explains everything. The fleet, along with the Cylon renegades, will travel back in time. The humans will go back and re-colonize the original 12 colonies. The Cylons are the 13th tribe, and they will re-colonize “Earth.” That’s what the hybrid meant when she was spouting the nonsense about how “this all happened before and it will hall happen again, yada yada yada.”

“Earth” will now be revealed to be our Earth. Yes, we are Cylons. Isn’t that such a cute ending? All the time we hated the Cylons because we thought they were the others. This is supposed to teach us a lesson about racism.

I’ve learned nothing. This is not reality, but a story with a poorly contrived ending. The people we thought were “humans” had every right, and in fact, a responsibility to destroy the Cylon race, and Helo should have been executed as a traitor for interfering with the plan.

Comments:
Since every ship in the fleet has its own FTL drive, it seems unlikely that this is the explanation.

Of course RDM hasn't shown much of a proficiency for logic so it could be the reason. If so, I recommend that RDM sit in the same chair as Gaeta at the end of the last episode and face some real bullets.

I guessed that there was some weird time travel thing going on as well, and while this might not be exactly what happens, it will obviously be something like it. Kara found her own ship on earth, so she was there before.

That explanation doesn't account for the planet of the apes period after mankind destroyed earth's civilization and apes evolved to become the rulers. Unless the apes were cylons. Maybe the apes were cylons that hadn't heard All Along The Watchtower yet. That kind of makes sense.

I think that we are going to find out the every human is actually a descendant of other cylons. BEcause in one episode the humans found remains of cylons that we never seen before. So i think that if there were cylons on an other planet and there are all ready descendants of cylons, that there have to be more. In the end every human is a cylon. IT's the only thing that i can think of.

The idea of time travel is fascinating (haven't occurred to me before). I do think that they are going to jump back in time and settle on... Kobol (all 12 tribes together plus the 13th tribe of cylons, plus Hera, who is the beginning of Lords of Kobol)

Anything that is alive cannot and should not be subject to racism, not even cylons.
