The half-Cylon baby has now been hidden away, and it doesn't seem like a very exciting storyline so we probably won't see the baby much, although we will probably see more of Sharon. She may turn against the humans because she thinks they killed her baby.

On Caprica, we learn that the reincarnated Number Six imagines that a Baltar is speaking to her! Isn't this cute. But does it mean that the two have some sort of connection with each other, or just that the writers fo the show ere being cutesy?

What we now know for sure is that the Number Six and Sharon on Caprica aren't with the Cylon program, they sympathize with the humans.

Baltar for President

I took some flak in the last post for supporting Baltar for President.

The first thing I'd like to say is that this is a TV show. Lighten up. From an entertainment perspective, I think it would be more fun to watch Baltar be the President for a change.

If I were a member of the fleet, who didn't know about Baltar's role in the Cylon destruction of humanity, I'd vote for him because Roslyn is anti-freedom. It's not just the abortion episode, but rather the Black Market episode that that really angers me. Roslyn is opposed to even basic free market dealings between citizens, and I also don't appreciate her religious mumbo-jumbo.

As a viewer of the show, I don't think Baltar is all bad. Remember, he was tricked into giving up the defense codes to the Cylons. I bet a lot of viewers would be tricked the same way by a hot Russian nymphomaniac spy.

I have come to believe that the Number Six that Baltar sees is a result of his schizophrenia, triggered by his immense feeling of guilt because of his role in the Cylon attack. So I don't think that he is controlled by the Cylons and therefore his ascendency to the Presidency shouldn't endanger humanity any more than it already is with Roslyn at the helm.

The Captain's Hand

This episode featured the most exciting battle scene yet, because I believed that the writers would let the Pegasus be destroyed. After all, that's what happened to it in the original series. So I was pretty happy when it survived the battle.

Pegasus Commanders are cursed. Caine dies, then Fiske, and now Garner. Will Apollo be the next to die? No, of course not, he’s Apollo.

Does anyone else think that there could be a nepotism problem here? Isn’t Colonel Tigh the senior officer in the fleet after Admiral Adama? Shouldn’t he be the one to be promoted to Commander?

I never cared much for Roslyn, I’m voting for Baltar for President, even if he is a traitor. Baltar was right in his speech, Roslyn doesn’t seem to understand the world “freedom.” In the Black Market episode she outlawed capitalism, and now she outlaws abortion.

Sacrifice

Sorry I skipped blogging about this last week. But hey, I was as shocked as anyone that they killed Billy. As if it wasn’t bad enough that Dualla treated him like garbage.

Was I the only one wondering if maybe Sharon should have been killed?

Liveblogging Scar

9:24 My second attempt at liveblogging. So why is the episode called "Scar"? Will we be introduced to a new character with a scar? Will Starbuck get wounded and have a big disfiguring scar?

10:09 I can't figure out what this episode is about. Except now I knew who/what Scar is: a Cylon ace. Why is the fleet still hanging around wherever they are if there are Cylons there? This makes no sense.

10:23 Ah, so the reason the Cylons aren't attacking en masse is because the Resurrection Ship was taken out and they don't want to die.

It's interesting to learn that the Raider Cylons get resurrected just like the ones who look like humans. But from a scientific perspective, it makes no sense.

I think that Kat's alot cuter than Starbuck.

10:36 If Starbuck and Kat got into a fight, Starbuck would win. She's bigger and she lifts weights.

Last post, I wondered why Apollo had to go see a prostitute because he gets plenty of free sex. But then after seeing what a PITA Starbuck is, maybe it was worth Apollo's money to have sex with the prostitute.

10:47 That fight almost happened! Kat looked to be a scrappy fighter, but I think that if the fight continued Starbuck would have kicked her ass. Too bad Apollo had to walk in and ruin the fun.

10:57 SO SAY WE ALL!

I wonder if Starbuck is ever going to see that Anders guy again?

10:59 It looks like next week we will return to the arc about the Cylon sympathizers.
