You Can't Go Home Again

The title of the episode is a misnomer because Starbuck does return home. Someone tried to be too tricky picking a title. I don’t like it.

In the classic series, when a pilot got stranded on a planet it was usually a nice Earth-like planet inexplicably populated by humans, and maybe a Cylon or two. But in this episode of the new series, the girl “Starbuck” lands on an inhospitable moon.

Interestingly, we discover that the Cylon Raiders have a biological brain mated with a mechanical ship body. Kara figures out how to fly it back to the Galactica (reminiscent of the episode from the classic series where Starbuck has to fly a Cylon Raider back to the Galactica).

But the best part of the episode: the nymphomaniac Cylon that Baltar hallucinates was wearing a hot outfit (sky blue and very revealing). Wow!

Comments:
As to last night’s episode, I found it quite amusing that the writers let Starbuck patch a breach in the hull of the Cylon Raider with a flight jacket. Pardon me maybe it might be like a super Gore-Tex / Teflon mixture?

I agree that Number Six ( Trisha Heffner ) is great to watch. Kind of a perfect girl friend if you think about it, other then was / is a spy. Likes to have sex anywhere and everywhere, but you never have to take her any where, never spend any money, or time watching ‘While you were out’. Get the urge, turn on, and then tune out. It would be embarrassing to sport a president Woodrow Wilson in front president Roslyn. I could only imagine the scene.

The Bio-computing aspect of this episode I found interesting. It seems to me that Baltar needs to take some DNA samples off the flesh and create a DNA altering smart virus that only attacks the Cylons DNA Sequence, but the DNS changes at a rate of super computer so the Cylons can not come with a cure in time. It slows down the rate of production of the Cylons attacks and gives the remaining ships the opportunity to get further away from those pesty Cylons. Maybe just a future plot line, but what the hell.

I here to offend, but this series is better then the original. I have no idea on the rating are / will be like. But I find myself watching it every Friday night.

Well, it is a flight suit for space combat, so theoretically, it should be air tight.

The ratings have been very high for the scifi channel. 2.3? Something like that, equaling about 3 million. And it's going up

Maybe the title was in reference the the Cylon raider.

Maybe the title was simply what Starbuck might have been thinking as she wondered whether it was hopeless.
